Bring the whole family down and enjoy the chilled out atmosphere and community spirit that is always in the air during our Quayside event.
Join us from 12pm down by the beautiful riverside for a mixed afternoon of drum workshops, acoustic performances & talented singer songwriters topped off with a slice of Americana and uplifting Folk. Then grab a seat for the brilliant comic performance ‘The Book of Job’: The Musical! A must see show brought to you in partnership with Poetry On Loan and Shropshire Libraries.

5pm – Book of Job – The Musical

Rock ‘n’ Roll! Death! Theology!
All are present and correct in this rollicking blend of show tunes, Thomas Aquinas, and the kind of experience you’d expect from a west end show about a biblical character whose name begins with a ‘J’. The Book of Job: The Musical! is a comic tour de force that has Sold Out houses at The Cheltenham Literature Festival, Brighton’s Komedia, Trinity College Cambridge, Brighton Festival Fringe, London’s Barons Court Theatre, Edinburgh Festival’s Green Room Venue
and venues across the country, garnering standing ovations and acclaim wherever it is seen.
The musical re-tells the biblical story of Job – that of a righteous and godly man royally screwed over by God for no particular reason – in an inspired blend of Andrew Lloyd Webber-style showtunes, dense liturgical theology and knockabout Monty Python-esque comedy.

4pm – Two Blank pages
2 Blank Pages at the Quayside
Two Blank Pages are a three-piece Alt Folk band whose aim is to get any audience dancing! They started out over 10 years ago as three friends who loved to perform to anyone who would hear them, now they play all over the country!
Inspired by American bluegrass, British folk and classic rock. They feature Banjo, Guitar and Bass accompanying three-part vocals.

This Folk trio of Andrew Lowings (Bouzouki), Leon Gormley (Guitar & Cittern) and Lewis Jones
(Nyckelharpa & Melodeon) play with soul, humour and dexterity producing sounds which are
equally traditional and contemporary
and immensley enjoyable.

Brother Hubbard are a fraternal acoustic duo, playing a contemporary mix of blues, rock and country music. Brothers Dan & Pete are always proud to play their local town festival and will be sure to get your feet stomping.

New on the scene and just 16, Jen is an artist with a distinguished image. She blends the soulful tones of alternative pop with an Indie twist and a distinctive, unmistakable sound that will leave listeners hooked.
