Our High Street Stage is where it all began for the Bridgnorth Festival in 2006 and for 2019 things looked a little precarious. Our High Street stage organiser Jen Bone had to step aside to concentrate on her new business and none of our small group of volunteers were able to take on any new roles.
Enter music super fan and former licensee of local music pub The Bear, Adrian Hubbard. Adrian’s stepped up to take a lead and put a team together to organise our 2019 High Street stage, undoubtedly putting his own unique twist on the format. We can’t wait to see what Adrian has planned for next year.
We’re also thrilled to announce that as well as Adrian taking over our High Street stage, Jen is still running our Quayside stage and Poetry events, Janet is back to organise our camping and to look after our finances alongside Westley Bone. With our Rock Stage is still in the safe hands of Nigel Gill, Richard Fox back to liaise with our charities, press by Liz Roseblade and Mark Branigan running our Outdoor Films, things have never looked better. Here’s to 2019, we can’t wait!
We do still have a few roles left, including a lead to organise marshals, a logistics lead and someone to put the printed programme together. If anyone is interested please get in touch via our contact page here, Facebook fb.com/bridgnorthmusicandartsfestival, or Twitter @bnorthfestival
