EDG Rock Stage 2017

Just looking over this year’s line up for the EDG rock day and wondered what has happened to previous band’s that have appeared. Hostile headlined in 2013 and have recently supported Megadeath in front of a sell out crowd in Russia. Butterfly Stone appeared in 2014 and then returned to headline in 2015. They have recorded soundtracks for two animated full length movies and soundtrack for top selling computer game dirt track called “who is leading who”. Appearing at last year’s Epic event we had Stone Broken, who were Planet Rocks new band of the year runner up. In the past 12 months they have appeared at Download and were voted in the top ten band’s of the year on Planet rock, btw it was won by Iron Maiden. Recently they appeared at the Rambling Man festival on the main stage which was later headlined by ZZ Top.

So what about this year’s band’s? Headlining we have Mason Hill all the way from Glasgow. They are another band appearing at Planet Rock events. Our special guests are the Soap Girls, who made an impromptu appearance on the Bridgnorth High street last year, and went down a storm. We have local Telford favourites Guns for Girls, Sister Shotgun who are doing great on the local circuit. We also have Valous with the awesome vocals of Mat Shutt. From Coventry “The Ellipsis” and opening the show Ghosts of Social Networks.

We are very proud of the great band’s who have appeared at the EDG and this year’s no different. If you like rock please come and enjoy the event starting around 1pm. It’s free entry, there is food, a licenced bar and kids entertainment. It’s weather protected as we use the Rugby clubs giant marquee. See you all soon!
